To say that I am a little bit fortunate, or may be unfortunate this time, that my third floor room’s window is too close to a big oak tree that squirrels usually use as a theatre for their relentless chases and place of play. The room overlooks a vast green backyard where sparrows and squirrels seem to perform their ritual dances and intimate meetings.
Every morning, as the sunrays begin to slip through the transparent glass of the room’s window, I used to wake up looking through it to contemplate the squirrels’ acrobatic movements and jumps. It seems to me that I become familiar with their rather sharp screams. My ear has now the ability to differentiate their warning screams from those other screams. They look rather sharper and quicker if a danger is nearby.

For a moment, my mind has recalled, the huge amount of dollars, the freedom, or rather socially-called barbarianism of nature the cat is looking forward to – may be to redeem at least his skills of climbing-, the canned cat food enriched with vitamins A, B, C, D, and possibly X! the rather sarcastic “laughs,” sorry I mean “screams” of squirrels, etc, etc. in the midst of this sea of shattered and crowded thoughts, I decided not to call so as not to prevent the cat the way he chose to live. While I was trying to convince myself that I shouldn’t do this, the cat seemed to give in attempting to climb, deciding at last to calmly lay down under the huge stem of the oak tree, and possibly thinking, “am I really worth 600 dollars?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
