You are very lucky in deed being the author of the poem in the sense that your upper room’s window overlooks the wonderful world of nature.
You see the beauty of the surrounding the moment you wake up.

You were surprised to see one morning while the squirrels were making loud noises instead of being afraid, they were surprised to see a big black cat who could hardly climb the tree, although he tried very much.

This signifies about a person or a child who had been spoiled by his parents and entirely very much dependent from them.
That whenever they encounter problems in life, they could not cope with it.
They cannot make their own decision in life, they cannot manage to survive in their day-to-day activities, so to speak.

In a nutshell we must encourage our kids while they are still young to teach them a good discipline, and the values of hard work, to attain success they must strive hard in all their undertakings or dealings in life.

There is a saying that there is no short cut to glory.
